Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy outlines how QR Platform handles subscription cancellations, refund requests, billing disputes, and plan changes. Please read it carefully before subscribing. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to this policy and our Terms & Conditions.

1Overview

QR Platform offers a 7-day money-back guarantee for first-time paid subscribers. After this window, subscription fees are generally non-refundable, but you may cancel at any time to stop future charges. This policy is designed to be straightforward and fair.

We will always work with you in good faith. If you experience a service outage, billing error, or other exceptional circumstance, please contact our billing team and we will review your case individually.

2Cancellation Policy

2.1 How to Cancel

You can cancel your subscription at any time through:

  1. Log into your account and go to Settings → Subscription
  2. Click "Cancel Plan" and confirm your choice
  3. You will receive a cancellation confirmation email immediately

Alternatively, email billing@qrplatform.app with your account email and we will process the cancellation within 1 business day.

2.2 What Happens After Cancellation

You retain full access to paid features until the end of your current billing period.
Your account automatically downgrades to the Free plan on the renewal date.
All your QR codes and data are preserved — nothing is deleted on cancellation.
QR codes that exceed the Free plan limit (5 codes) become inactive but are not deleted.
Dynamic QR codes will revert to static behaviour (cannot be re-targeted) until you re-subscribe.
Analytics data older than the Free plan retention window (30 days) will no longer be visible.

2.3 Reactivation

You can resubscribe at any time. All previously inactive QR codes will be reactivated immediately upon upgrading to a plan that supports them.

3Refund Eligibility

Refunds are approved in the following situations:

7-Day Money-Back Guarantee (First-Time Subscribers)

Most common

If you are subscribing to a paid plan for the first time and are not satisfied, you may request a full refund within 7 calendar days of your first charge. This applies once per customer, per account lifetime.

Billing Error

Always refunded

If you were charged an incorrect amount, charged after cancellation, or charged for a plan you did not select, you are entitled to a full refund of the erroneous charge.

Service Outage (Prolonged)

Case-by-case

If QR Platform experiences a verified service outage exceeding 72 consecutive hours that prevents you from using core features during a paid billing period, you may request a pro-rated credit or refund for the affected period.

Duplicate Charge

Always refunded

If your payment method was charged more than once for the same billing cycle due to a system error, the duplicate charge will be refunded in full.

Service Discontinuation by QR Platform

Pro-rated refund

If we permanently discontinue the Service, all subscribers with remaining prepaid time will receive a pro-rated refund for unused days.

4Non-Refundable Situations

The following are generally not eligible for refunds:

  • Subscription renewals after the 7-day guarantee window has passed
  • Partial months — subscriptions are billed monthly and the unused portion of a cancelled month is not refunded
  • Accounts terminated due to Terms of Service or Content Policy violations
  • Requests submitted more than 30 days after the charge date (except for billing errors)
  • Failure to cancel before a renewal date when auto-renewal was enabled
  • Dissatisfaction with features that are clearly described on the pricing page and within the Service
  • Third-party payment fees, bank charges, or currency conversion fees

We understand that circumstances vary. If your situation is not covered above, please contact us and we will review it on a case-by-case basis.

5Billing Errors & Disputes

If you believe there is an error in a charge to your account, please contact our billing team at billing@qrplatform.app before filing a dispute or chargeback with your bank or payment provider. We resolve billing errors within 2 business days.

Chargeback Warning

Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us may result in immediate account suspension pending investigation. We strongly encourage direct resolution first — it's faster for both parties.

Consumer Protection Rights: Nothing in this policy limits your rights under applicable consumer protection legislation, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (India), EU Consumer Rights Directive, or UK Consumer Contracts Regulations.

6Plan Downgrade & Pause

Downgrade

You may downgrade to a lower-tier plan at any time. The downgrade takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refund is issued for the price difference between plans in the current period.

Upgrade

Upgrades take effect immediately. You are charged a pro-rated amount for the remainder of your current billing cycle at the new plan price, and your billing cycle resets.

7Free Plan

The Free plan is available at no cost and has no cancellation or refund considerations. There are no charges associated with the Free plan. You may delete your Free account at any time through Settings → Account → Delete Account.

8Auto-Renewal & Advance Notice

All paid subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing cycle. We send a renewal reminder email 3 days before your billing date so you have time to cancel if you do not wish to renew.

You can disable auto-renewal at any time from Settings → Subscription without losing access for the current period.

Tip: Set a calendar reminder before your billing date if you are unsure whether you want to continue. You can always check your next billing date in Settings → Subscription.

9How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email us at billing@qrplatform.app with:

5Any relevant screenshots or order/invoice numbers (if available)

Refunds are issued to the original payment method. We cannot transfer refunds to a different card, bank account, or as platform credits unless your original payment method is no longer valid.
